To a fresher BE(the stream doesnt matter. good thing they dont differentiate) these companies offer a salary somewhere in the range of 3.253.6lakhs per annum. About 70% of the students are placed in companies with average salary in this range.

A salary of around 57 lakhs is considered above average and companies like BNP Paribas, Oracle, Mu Sigma etc offer salary in this range. 15% of students are placed in this salary bracket.

Next bracket is 812 lakhs and about 10% of students are placed in companies offering this range of salary. Various companies offering such salaries are Morgan Stanley, Citicorp, Samsung etc.

13 lakh and above: These companies may higher at the most 5% of the entire lot and are reserved for students with exceptional skillsets. Google,Microsoft,Qualcomm offer salaries of this magnitude.

Packages vary from company to company.It totally depends upon your skill,talent knowledge and in which company you are working. It also depends on which college you are persuing you degree bevause big colleges helps to provide good placement and hence good salary. But the average package for the freshers in computer engineering is generally 4-9 lakhs p.a, and can go upto 15-20 depending upon your work and results.
