A server is a computer that facilitates the sharing of data , hardware and software resources. There are two types of servers:

1) Dedicated - If it is a dedicated server then it will help workstation to access data, hardware and software resources. It will not work as a workstation.

2) NonDedicated servers - A workstation or a node that can serve as a server is known as non- dedicated server.
