A solution can be defined as the homogeneous mixture composed of two or more substances.Generally solution can be defined as solute+solvent.

The mixture which is to be dissolved is said to be as solute and the substance used to dissolve the solute  is said to be as solvent.

Uses:

• Turpentine as a solvent are used in the production of paints,inks and dyes e.t.c
• Water as a solvent is used in preparation of food,e.t.c
• Sugar as a solute used in the preparation of coffee,tea e.t.c
