SSC is a big organization itself which are conducting many exams every year. So, the eligibility criteria are also different for all the exam. Staff Selection Commission conduct 10th, 12th, graduation and post-graduation level exam. If you want to apply for any SSC Recruitment Exam, then first you must check the SSC Eligibility Criteria. If you satisfied the criteria, then you can fill the form otherwise staff selection commission will reject your form, or you can’t continue the form filling process of SSC Online. The eligibility of SSC Exam include: -

Age Limit

Age Relaxation (for reserved category)

SSC CGL Eligibility – Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent. And the age limit is 18-32 years.

SSC CHSL Eligibility - In order to appear for SSC CHSL Exam, you must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.

Some other important points - If you possess any Degree obtained through open Universities/Distance Education Mode, then that must be recognized by Distance Education Council, IGNOU.

The age limit of SSC CHSL Exam is 18-27 years.

SSC examinations are conducted across India every year for the recruitment of numerous posts for Indian Government establishments. Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is responsible for the entire procedure of recruitment including examinations, personal interviews etc. The SSC recruitments non-technical (group C), non-gazette posts in Ministries/departments (group D, subordinate offices of Government of India, CAG and the accountant general offices.

Eligibility for SSC Exams

Combined Matric Level Examination- The eligibility for this examination is matriculation.

Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination- The eligibility for this examination is 12thclass or equivalent in any other discipline.

The age limit depends on different posts fo appearing in SSC examination. Candidates can get complete information about it from the employment news/Rozgar Samachar. However, the general age limit for appearing SSC examination is 18 to 27 years (relaxation in age is available for reserved candidates).

The educational qualification depends on different posts that generally vary from 10thclass to graduation level.

SSC is one of the most popular exams after UPSC for the recruitment of gazetted and non-gazetted government officials. The eligibility for different posts are separate. However, the  overall eligibility criteria that stands true for all posts are as follows: 

a. Age Limit: Between 18-27 years. Some posts have the upper limit of amaximum of 30 years.

b. Minimum Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized University or Institute.
