Age: Individuals aged between 14 and 40 years of age as on the date of the start of admission session are eligible to apply for admission to ITI and ITC's in India.

The academic qualification for ITI varies from class 8th pass to class 12th pass depending also course to course. The duration of the trade/ course may vary from one year to three years, depending on the field chosen.

There are two main types of ITI courses.

Engineering courses/trades

Non-engineering courses/trades
