Hey aspirant,

NDA (National Defence Academy) is conducted twice annually in the month of April and September. Around 9000 applicants are selected for interview after the written exam and only around 300-350 could make it to the Defence Services.

Firstly, you need to fill up the application form. The application form is filled in 2 parts ( Part 1 & Part 2 ). After registering for the exam, the fees structure for application is as follows;

1. For general category / OBC :- Rs 100

2. For SC/ST/and sons of JCOs, NCOs, ORs :- exempted from payment of application fees.

The fees can be paid either through online mode or offline mode.

The fee once paid is non-refundable in any circumstances.

NDA is conducted in 2 stages;

Written exam and,

Service Selection Board ( SSB ) Interview.

The written test taken includes the negative marking of 0.33 marks on every wrong answer. The written test mainly focus on Mathematics and General Ability.

On the basis of marks secured in the written exam, aspirants are called up for SSB interview. The SSB interview is conducted in 2 stages which includes Direct Interaction, Group Conference, Discussions, etc.

Then a total Merit List is prepared on the basis of Written Test and SSB interview by UPSC.

Eligibility :-

1. Age between 16.5 years to 19.5 years

2. Candidates must have completed his 10+2 from any recognised board.

Qualification :-

1. For Army Wing :- Passed / appearing in 10+2 or any equivalent exam in any stream with a recognised board.

2. For Air Force and Navy :- Applying Candidates must have passed / appearing in class 12th or any equivalent exam with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

3. No percentage criteria , just need to qualify the exam.
