It depends on the type of the institution from which you are pursuing your B. Tech degree if you are in the IITs then the starting salary goes to 10–12 lakhs p.a. in a reputed company such as cadence, Samsung, frog cell etc.

But this package goes on decreasing as you head for the NIITs, the same company offers 5–7 lakhs p.a to the NIITians and 3–4 lakhs p.a. to the other college students.
