So you must hold masters degree or PhD in any of these fields from the top institutions.

Also it is to be kept in kind that there is very high preference for citizens of US.

If you want to work as a Scientist at the National  Aeronautics and Space Organisation, the minimum qualification required is a Bachelor's degree. This degree can be obtained in Physics, Geology, Astronomy, Astrophysics, Space Science or any similar field. However, if you go for a Master's Degree or a Ph.D, you will get a better starting salary.
