It's all depends upon the branch you need.
Best colleges are IIT than NITs.
So if your rank is under 1000 in advanced you will get a very good IIT . But depending upon branch you have to improve your rank .
And in NIT s under 3000-4000 rank you will get a very good nit.
Same depending upon branch your rank must be good.
And you can check last year's rank for different IIT and NIT according to the branch you want.

Hello,

Well the best ranking one can get is AIR 1.
With such a rank you can get an admission anywhere in the country.

You can get your desired branch at your desired college.

You can get IITB which has the highest cutoff where only the top minds of the country make their way to.

So you can get everything related to academia when u get an AIR 1.

So work hard to claim that number one spot.
