Hiii aspirant,

A biomedical engineer should take GATE in Instrumentation engineering. If you are confident about Life sciences then go for it. Remember that M.Tech in Biomedical Engineering is an inter-disciplinary course. Admission to M.Tech program in IITs takes care of diversity factor, hence they give chance to people from different branches like B.Tech in bio-tech, electronics, electrical, instrumentation etc. Choose an option in which you are comfortable and can score good marks in GATE.

Most preferred subjects for writing GATE are : 1.Instrumentation,
2.Electronics and
3. Life Sciences.
