The jobs in the core sector for the bio-technology course are less than that in the other branches however if you are interested in the research areas or if you are from some very good college then there is good scope especially in non-core sectors if you are from some big institute. If scope here means earning good amount of money then my answer would be no,it does not have a good scope in India.There are very few oppurtunities in the industrial sector people after doing courses related BioTech either shift to IT sector or for MBA so the scope is very low.

The subject involves elements of chem, physics, bio, computer science.
After graduation in bsc or through semester course you can go for :
msc biotech
Biochemistry
Microbiology (msc)
MBA
Biotech +mba has alot of scope since biotech is an industrial subject.
Even abroad biotech has alot, alot of scope.
