For 10th, a candidate must score a minimum of 36 percentage in each subject to be promoted. For subjects having practices, Students must pass in both theory and practical.

For class 12th, A student must score a minimum of 36% marks in each subject to pass the exam. For subetcs having practicles, Students must pass in both theory and practical. For subjects with 70 marks theory exam, one must score a minimum of 25 in that subject and for subjects with 80 marks theory paper, candidates must score 36 to be considered as pass in that subject.

For passing the JKBOSE 10th class exam, students need to secure at least 335 marks in each individual paper. For example, in a 100-mark paper, a student requires 33 marks to pass.
