Dear candidate, if you want a good branch in a good NIT, then you need to score percentile>=97 in JEE Mains, >=95 for good IIITs. These percentiles will be helpful to get admission in NIT, IIIT, DTU, NSIT, etc. Score above 140, percentile above 45 in JEE Advanced will easily fetch you IIT.

These cutoffs were for the General category. For more information, you can visit:

IIIT: https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-top-iiits

Hope, it helps!

Hello Aspirant,

See government colleges is  very big term be=cause it comprises of all NITs, IITs and most of the IIITs but there are some common cut-offs which needs to cleared by the candidate in JEE-Main to sit for JEE-Advance

The cut-off percentiles will be released along with the result of JEE-Main 2021so at this time it is quite difficult to guide you with the exact cut-offs but on the basis of previous year's cut-off trends we can help you with the expected qualifying cut-offs for this year :-

  • Common Rank List (CRL) - 90- 95 Percentile
  • GEN-EWS - 70- 75 Percentile
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) - 70- 75 Percentile
  • Scheduled Caste (SC) - 50- 55 Percentile
  • Scheduled Tribe (ST) - 40- 45 Percentile
  • PwD - 1-2 Percentile

Note that in above table it is not the actual cut-off for JEE-Main 2021 but expected on the basis of previous year's analysis. You can check out previous year's cut-off trends from the link given below :-
