Hi Zainab,
The difference between a psychiatrist and psychologist are
psychiatrist is a trained doctor and prescribe the medicines and give detailed treatment to the patients, also a psychiatrist practice for almost 4 years with adults, children in a hospital in general and give medications to the patients.

Psychologist helps in treating the mental and emotional characteristics changes of a person like psychotherapy. Psychology clinics are set up for treatments.
psychologist can do after PhD and more studies about the psychological evolvement in human psychology and focus on psychological therapy and behavioural therapy.

So both are not the same. One is a practised medic and other one is a professional counsellor and helps to stabilise human emotions.

Hope you get it,Thank you
