According to the general science,  Air is actually the gas mixture that forms the earths atmosphere which remains around our planets.

On the other hand atmosphere is the earths gaseous region the outermost and least dense region of the planet.

There is a slight difference between air and atmosphere.Air can be defined as the mixture of various gases that forms Earth's atmospheric  layer which is surrounded to the earth, where as Atmosphere can be defined as the area of air or gas which is present in the space.
