Hi,

BAMS stands for Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery. The duration of the course is five and half years, including 1 year internship. BHMS stands for Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery. The Duration of the course is for five and half years. Internship is for 1 year.

Selecting the best course from the BAMS vs BHMS is tedious task, both courses have their own prominence.

BAMS is an Ayurvedic traditional healing art in India. Knowledge along with extensive practical training will be taught during the course, 'Ashtanga Ayurveda' along with scientific advances in modern medicine.

As one of the oldest and cheaper ways of treatment Homeopathy also emerges as best alternative. There are various research going on related to homoeopathic advancement across the nation which also leads to advance career prospects.

Bhms and Bams are very different courses and practices.
Bhms is Bachelor of homeopathic medicine and surgery is a 5.5 year undergraduate course which teaches you German based homeopathic medicine.
It has roots from German.
  • It is taught in English language
  • It is widely practiced more in North India.

while, Bams is Bachelor of ayurvedic medicine and surgery. It is also a 5.5 year undergraduate course which teaches you both modern and ancient ayurvedic medicine.
It has roots from India
  • It is generally taught in hindi and sankrit. There are many sanskrit shlokas
  • It is widely practiced in South India.

However both have a lot of scope in future, but during pandemic time ayurveda gained more popularity.
