Both the streams are quite similar ,there is minute difference between them. IT stream deals with the applications of computing technology to real life processes. Where as computer science deals with the design of individual microprocessors, personal computers and super computers to circuit designing and writing software that powers them.
In simple way, computer science is the creation of software and hardware using different programming skills where IT is just the selection of proper software or hardware required for the task. Hope your confusion might have cleared with this information!!
