Hello,
.
First point is both the degrees come under undergraduate degree. Ordinary degree and Honours level degree are one and same upto a limit. The difference you will find is in the syllabus and even in the course duration in some Colleges/countries. In normal general/Honours degree has a course duration of 3 year's. Where in few countries/Colleges Hons degree has course duration 4 year's.
.
Now coming to syllabus Hons students will have depth syllabus when compared to general students. Syllabus will be slight tough when compared to general degree.
.
Now coming to Career opportunities, sometimes Hons students don't need post graduation for a job where it's mandatory for general students. And in few places both the graduate students are treated equally
