see in gate exam there is no separate papers is available as electronics and tele communications engineering, etec graduate also need to apply to gate from from el;ectronics and communication stream, etec and ece stream both are quite same, only in etec department all the subjects are related to circuits and semiconductors. where in ece department  all the subjects are related to waves and signals.
