Hello Aspirant,

Autonomous institutes are institutes which are provided with the right to construct their syllabus and administer their examinations and establish different campuses in several different areas. Once any college becomes an autonomous institution then it will be able to furnish numerous additional courses and regular PG programs also. These colleges can receive an allowance from private authorities too.

Government-aided institutions are the institutions which receive funds from the govt. but are not entirely regulated by the government. They obey some of the rules put forth by the government like reservation criteria, scholarships for needy students etc.  But they have their laws and restrictions.

Regards.
