1. JEE Mains is conducted by NTA for admission to NITs, IIITs, CFTIs as well as other engineering and technology institutes run by the state governments and private institutions while JEE Advanced is conducted by IITs for admission in 23 IITs in the country.

Hello student Jee main is the primary/first examination for students who are willing to take admission in IIT. Once candidates qualify the Jee main cutoff they are allowed to appear in Jee advance.
Admission in all Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) are on the basis of marks/rank obtained in Jee advance.
Admission in NIT/IIIT /CFTIs and  other government and private engineering college are on the basis of marks/rank obtained in Jee main.
