Hi
In Mtech you will work as a teaching assistant while in MS you will be working as a research assistant.
Mtech is for 2 years while MS is for 3 years.
Type of work given to you will depend on the guide alloted to you.

Most IITs make MS students sit for placements with Mtech students.
