Hello,

Open category means for all the caste. If there is a recruitment or an admission they have some seats. They keep some seats for the reserved category like SC/ST/OBC etc. & some are open category means anyone can apply for that either General, SC/ST/OBC etc. Means caste/social status is no bar an open category.

There are 5 category in JEE mains.

• General category
• SC
• ST
• OBC- NCL
• PWD.
