Hope you are doing good. PGDM stands for Post Graduate Diploma in Management. An institute can offer PGDM courses only when it becomes an autonomous body (not affiliated to any University). Even IIMs, doesn't offer MBA degrees they only give PGP Diploma or PGDM since they are autonomous and independent bodies.

Now, coming to your question there is nothing as only PGDM. Its either PGDM General or PGDM Specialization (in any domain such as Business / HR / Finance). When you study PGDM General, you're given an overall idea about all the domains of Management however, in case you study any specialization your course curriculum revolves around that particular specialization. Both have their own merits and demerits and both can be equally rewarding.

P.S. IIMs offer a General diploma in Management.
