Deemed University is a university which is not governed by government,they are only given permission to be established as a college when it shows excellent performance in academic,research and other facilities for education.It is managed by a private body or trust.they are authorized to give their own degree and follow their own rules

Private University is are not owned by government but they do have to follow all the rules laid by UGC so that UGC accept the college in the list and  grant degree.they are run by chancellore or chairperson of well established universities.

Both the degree can used similary for same jobs . I hope it helped
