For a Medicine course in USA, Students willing to pursue medical courses are required to appear in the MCAT test. The applicants must have a four-year Bachelors degree in Sciences or related subjects.

The duration of the course is of four years followed by a residency training of 3-7 years. The four years of basic study is roughly divided into pre-clinical (courses in basic sciences) and clinical (internships comprising of rotatory courses in various wards of a teaching hospital).
