Mammary glands are also an example of compound saccular glands as they have branched duct system (compound)and alveoli.

As alveolar glands has sac like secretory portion they are also called as saccular glands.

Examples include sweat glands, gastric glands, intestinal crypts, and uterine glands. A compound gland has a branching duct. Salivary glands and pancreas are familiar examples.
