Amrita University has 30% of its seats reserved for admission through JEE Mains. The cutoff percentile varies depending on the campus and the year. For example, in 2022, the cutoff percentile for CSE in Amrita Coimbatore was 95.5, while the cutoff percentile for CSE in Amritapuri was 96.5.

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham conducts it's own entrance exam called the Amrita Entrance Examination-Engineering (AEEE) for admissions to its B.Tech programs. Therefore there is no direct JEE Main cutoff for admission to Amrita university's B.Tech courses.
