Such postgraduates are hired in capacities such as Production Manager, Electronics Hardware Development Engineer, Programmer Analyst, Electronics & Communication and Electronics Engineer, etc. A fresh graduate in this field can earn an average salary between INR 2 to 10 Lacs in a year.

Hello Koduri, Greetings!
As a fellow ECE student, I would suggest you to follow these things for better job opportunities besides your on campus placements -
1. Get a good score in GATE which will give you chances to have a job in PSUs such as BHEL, BEL, ONGC etc.
2. If you are good at MPMC or VLSI, you can get job in Qualcomm, Intel and other R&D companies.
3. If you're passionate about electronics, you can join any IIT or top Nit for M.tech and get into research work.
There is a lot of opportunities in ECE branch. You just have to work hard for it.
