hello there!
hope you are doing well
its look like you are interested to know the meaning of caveat in a court. A Caveat is a Notice given by a person, informing the Court that another person may file a suit or application against him and that the Court must give the Caveator (person filing the Caveat) a fair hearing before deciding any matter brought before it in the relevant case.
i hope you find this useful
goodluck!
Let's say B has accused A and filed a case which mounts to arresting. But A goes ahead and files a case of Stay in a Higher Court. Now B will file a coveat petition stating no action should be taken on A's plea without first hearing from B because B is the victim here. This is like a precautionary measure that B is taking in fear of malpractise or misappropriation of law or resources or tampering of proof causing injustice.
