The meaning of Lateral entry in colleges for Btech means,Taking a admission directly to 2nd year of a selected course.

Lateral entry student have not taken a admission in 1st year,he can take admission directly to 2nd year of his Btech of selected course.If the student has choosen polytechnic after secondary school,by based on his upsc score or directly he can take an admission directly to 2nd Year of Btech selected course.
