Preparatory rank list is a list which is being issued after all the counseling round are done. In some cases it is being found that some of the seats which are reserved for specific categories are not filled. In such cases a new list is prepared of the students who were not able to qualify the exam and falls under that reservation category. The list will contain the names if students who were close to clear the exam but were not able to. So as per the Constitution those reserved seats need to be filled. So the preparatory rank list is being prepared and students can get admission into the colleges. But again after one year, if the student is able to clear the exam then they can keep the seat and in case if they fail in exam they are removed from that seat.
