As you have not mentioned which examination board your son is studying in I assume its CBSE and would be giving the answer based on it.

As per the guidlines of central board of secondary education (CBSE) the minimum age to appear in the 10th board exam is 14 years , as of 31st december of the year of examination . So yes your son would be eligible to write the 10th examination in the year 2026
