The percentage of marks requirement for taking admission in B.Tech degree course is different for different university. this percentage is checked from 12th board marks. you should maintain your percentage not only in overall marks but also in mathematics, english and in overall PCM marks.


generally for most of the university the criterion is you should have minimum of 65% marks in overall and in mathematics and in PCM is required to take admission in B.Tech degree course. for reserved candidates the percentage varies from 50% to 65% according to the university.

if you have very low percentage and you are worrying about admission in B.Tech then contact with the institution where you want to take admission or contact in the university under which you want to take admission they will provide you the exact criterion for taking admission in B.Tech according to that particular university under which the college is approved.

To get admission in top colleges like NITs/IIITs/IITs you need to score at least 75% marks in class 12th board exam or to be in top 20 percentile of your respective board.For reserved categories,like sc or st you need to have atleast 65%marks in class 12th board exam.For other top private colleges like VIT,SRM,..you have to score atleast 60% marks in class 12th board exam.For BITS,you need to have 75% aggregate marks in p,c,m.

Only 75% or top 20 percentile  are criteria only for nits iits iiits and some colleges but to do btec u have to get minimum 60% marks this is almost all colleges criteria.
