The normative political theory is concerned with 'what ought to be. ' In other words, normative political theory is concerned about how the world should be and focuses on the exploration of values and what should be done based upon those values.
The theoretical components of normative approach are philosophical, legal, historical and institutional, 3. It emphasizes on 'what ought to be' rather than 'what is' in politics, 4. It searches for an ideal or perfect state based on assumptions on a wide variety of matters
