Hi Aspirant!

The XAT exam marking scheme details are as follows-

  1. There are total 100 marks for 100 questions

  2. There are 4 answer choices generally

  3. +1 marks for correct answer

  4. - 0.25 marks for incorrect answer

  5. - 0.10 marks for more than 8 un-attempted questions

  6. No negative marking in GK section

Hence, to answer your question, for every 8 un-attempted question you will lose 0.10 marks

XAT exam pattern is the online computer based test. It consists of 4 sections such as Verbal Ability, Decision making, Quantitative Ability and General Knowledge. In the last section which is General Knowledge there is no negative marking.

But for other sections we do have negative marking for the incorrect answer as well as for the un-attempted questions. Thus, the negative marks awarded for every un-attempted question after 8 un-attempted question carries -0.10 marks.
