Pitch is simply the rate at which vibrations are produced. This is usually expressed as the number of Hz (hertz, or cycles per second). One cycle is a complete vibration back and forth.

On the other hand  when one object vibrating at the same natural frequency of a second object forces that second object into vibrational motion.
