Hello,

An ostrich's egg , the biggest egg is a gamete with haploid number of chromosomes formed through meiosis.

Ploidy is the number of complete sets of chromosomes in a cell.

The ploidy of an ostrich egg is haploid. It consists of 23 chromosomes.

At the end of meiosis, haploid cells are produced. These cells need to further develop into mature gametes capable of fertilization, a process called gametogenesis.
