It depends on what role you are working in.
I will give a brief overview of some roles and the salaries.
Food Technologist: Work includes supervising the development and manufacturing of food. Macro-management of production in large scale industries.
Salary: 3-5 lpa

Nutritionist:  you can work with a gym, freelancer or your own company. You have to create nutritional charts and guide people to follow stipulated nutrition schedule to enhance their health and help them maintain a good lifestyle. This could also be done part time.
Salary: 2-4 lpa

Dietician: similar to a nutritionist but here the client has some specific targets to achieve.  For example losing weight, gaining muscle.  The dietician gives diets specific to that person's body.
Salary: 2-5 lpa

Fitness trainer: Advise people regarding the exercises and routines that they must follow to get into shape or build muscles. This can be a  high paying job if you do it at a gym.
Salary: 5-6 lpa

Foodanalyst: best option in this sector is fssai. You can apply for some posts at fssai. If I an correct they have some openings now. Kindly visit their website. www.Fssai.org.in

Hello Aspirant,

Since food science and nutrition or basically food engineering is an upcoming stream in the field of engineering, the openings aren't instant like those of other engineering streams like CS or mechanical, E&Tc. If you do it from a reputable college of stream specialized college and the campus placements are strong, then you can get an annual package of 2.5lakh to 5 lakh. 5 and more can be expected only from top colleges and top companies. Else average of 3.5LPA for an undergraduate.

To get a higher package you may increase your work experience duration or get a masters degree.

Ill suggest first complete your masters and then go for a job. Deep knowledge of the subject is a must.

Good luck!
