Psychology is the study of mind and behavior.

A psychologist studies a person response, behavior, emotions associated with psychological or behavioral problems.

For being a licensed psychologist

One has to first pass 10+2,bachelor and then postgraduate and for more specialisation doctoral level.

As you asked about the scope of psychology it has various scope in every sector but as a Psychology Student I will suggest you to please complete your post graduation in Psychology. This will enhance your skills as well as get you knowledge too about various felids.


If you don't want to complete your MA so should apply for internships in Rehabilitation centers, Clinics, or at various Institutes. It will add experience and knowledge which will help you later in your carrer.

M a 12th pcm student waiting for results so just wanted to ask whether i should go for BA in psychology or not.

Yess you can go for  psychology as it has various carrier option in our country in as well as much broad carrier options in Abroad also.
As you are a PCM Student you have a very good carrier option in psychology specially in clinical psychology because few Universities only offer Clinical Psychology in postgraduation if the student has studied PCM combination in 10+2.

Can you please explain more about the colleges and their cut offs.... M expecting my 12th percent to be around 85.

If you're expecting 85% that is enough to get admission in psychology course for B.A./B.Sc
Minimum eligibility is just 60%  in 10+2
It will be a 3-year full-time course.
Admission is totally on Merit basis but some colleges conduct Entrance Exams for BSc streams

Graduates of this course get various opportunities to work in many different fields in both the private sector and the government sector. They get work in departments like hospitals, educational institutes, corporate organizations, etc. Some of the profiles which are open for them are Social Worker, Sales Representative, Recruiters, Teachers, etc.
