The scope for BASLP graduates in India is good, especially because it is a novel concept improvised in the Indian education system. BASLP graduates have an abundance of options open before them.

• They can practice in hospitals and other related organizations like child guidance centers, speech and hearing centers, and hearing aid industries. They can practice as individuals as well.
• Very few students opt for this course and many are not aware of this. But there is a demand for such professionals and so students pursuing this course can build a career in this field without much competition.
• Graduates can pursue further studies in the discipline for higher studies. They have the options for Masters in Audiology & Speech-Language Therapy (MASLP) , MSc Audio Speech Therapy , MA Communication Sciences and Disorders, MBA in Health-care Management, M. Sc. in Molecular Pathogenesis, Doctoral/ research-related studies.
• Doctoral degree holders can work as a part of human resource development programs. Those with a postgraduate degree in audiology and speech-language pathology can work as lecturers in medical colleges, both private and government-run ones.
• A postgraduate holder in the mentioned degree can practice in the department of ENT, pediatrics, neurology, rehabilitation medicine, etc. One can also carry out research projects with grants received from the government. Renowned hospitals like AIIMS require speech therapists for treating patients suffering from speech disorders.
