When some students quit out of the counselling after the procedure and there are still some students left with ranks nearby the closing rank in the waiting list are allotted seats in respective branches on the spot

Spot round is generally conducted in case there are seats left after the main allotment rounds. Candidates are allotted seats on the basis of their merit and seat availability.
