Including basic Tamil and Communicative English, the BSMS course introduces students to Siddha Maruthuva Adippadai Thathuvangalum Varalarum (History and Fundamental Principles of Siddha Medicine), Uyir Vedhiyal (Bio-Chemis- try), Nunnuyiriyal (Microbiology), Udal Koorugal (Anatomy), Udal Thathuvam (Physiology), Noi Naadal (Pathology), Sat- tam Sarntha Maruthuvamum Nanju Maruthuvamum (Foren- sic Medicine and Toxicology) and Aruvai, Thol Maruthuvam (Surgery including Dentistry and Dermatology) over the course of four-and-a-half years.
