CAT is 3 hr examination and ticket to various top notch B Schools.CAT syllabus is very wide.Every year topics swapped.It goes on changing every year.CAT paper is divided into 3 parts VARC,DILR and QA.

VARC (34 Qs)

In this section constitutes 24 RC Qs;Sectional weightage in CAT syllabus is 24%.Apart from RC,Parajumbles(without options),Vocab based Qs,Grammar,Critical Reasoning,Facts,Inference and judgement,completion of last sentence of paragraph.In recent years this topics cover majority of paper.Other topics such as verbal reasoning analogies are disappearing but it is better if you learn the basic of this topic.

The CAT exam consists of 3 sections - Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VA RC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DI LR), Quantitative Ability (QA).

The VARC (Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension) section consists of 34 questions, the DILR (Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning) section consists of 32 questions and the QA (Quantitative Ability) section consists of 34 questions, making a total of 100 questions to be solved during the exam.
