J SYLLABUS AND MARKING SCHEME FOR MLS ENTRANCE Test

1. Quantitative Aptitude(40mrks)
: Area, Average, Allegation or Mixture, Decimal
Fraction, Ratio & Proportion, Partnership, Simple and Compound Interest,
Problems on Age, Percentage, HCF & LCM, Simplification,Profit & Loss,
Time & Distance, Time & Work, Problems on Trains.

2. Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation: Complete the Series, Find
out odd Figure, Relationship, Puzzles, Problems on Age, Direction,
Statement and Assumptions, Time Measurement, Blood relations, Calendar,
Problems on Clock, Venn Diagram, Table and Charts, Cause and Effect,
Data interpretation.

3. General Knowledge with Special Reference to Maharashtra:
Constitution of India, Current political and social affairs, Literature and
Sports, Awards, External Affairs, Current policies and Schemes of Govt.
History of Maharashtra, Economy, Geography of Maharashtra (Area,
Mountain Range, Rivers, Forest, Population, Festivals), Literature, Books
and Author of Maharashtra, Social Workers of Maharashtra (Saint, Social
Workers and Freedom Fighter), Labour Movement of Maharashtra (1900
onwards), Agriculture, Industry, IT Sector, Business house of Maharashtra.

4. English Language and Usage: Use of Article, Synonyms and Antonyms,
complete the statement, Idiom and Phrases, One Word Substitution,
Preposition, Re-arrangement of sentence, Spelling Error, Tense, Ordering of
Words and Sentences.

5. मराठी भाषा: विभक्ती विचार, शब्द विचार, सामान्यरुप, िचन विचार, सिवनामे, विशेषणे,
वियापद विचार, वियाविशेषण, शब्दयोगी, उभयान्ियी, के िलप्रयोगी अव्यये, प्रयोग, समास,
शब्दवसध्दी, भाषेचेअलंकार, िाक्यप्रचार ि म्हणी, लेखन विषयक वनयमािली.

6) Current Affairs : State, National and International Current Affairs, Sports,
Science and technology current affairs, Economy, Politics, Banking,
Finance, Business, Govt. Policies, Schemes, reports, Awards & Honours,
