Ideally plants do have either Sperm or Ovum through which reproduction happens. But Unisexual plants have neither sperm nor ovum but reproduce through their own body. They do not have any sexgammates. Papaya Plant or Mulbery plant are examples for this type of plants.

Unisexual plants are those plants which have only stamen i.e male part or carpel i.e female part in their flowers.

Whereass bisexual plants are those plants which have both stamen and carpel in their flower

Few examples of unisexual plants are:-.

  • Papaya,
  • Watermelon,
  • Cucumber,
  • Maize,
  • White mulberry
