EWS certificate is the economically weaker section certificate for general category which are economically not good. EWS certificate is for a particular time period. EWS certificate is valid for 1 year and then it is expired. EWS certificate can be renewed after expiry but all the requirements for the certificate should be fulfilled again. The requirements are as particular land area, income etc. EWS certificate validity is different for different states. Like :-

1) Rajasthan, Bihar, Gujarat have a validity of 1 year for this certificate.

2) Maharashtra has a validity of 6 months.
