The total seats in Mar Athanasios College for Advanced Studies, Tiruvalla, are divided into two categories : 50% under Government Quota and  50% under Management Quota. Admission to Government Quota is through the Mahatma Gandhi University Postgraduate Central Allotment process or MGU PG CAP. The rank list will be then prepared by giving 70% weightage to entrance examinations, 20% weightage to academic qualifications and 10% weightage to personal interview.
