Unit cell

It is a  repeating portion of a crystal lattice(smallest). The different types are: face centered cubic, simple cubic andbody centered cubic. In simple cubic the atoms are at corner. The same exists for corner particles in the face centered and body centered cubic forms. Body centered have additional atom. Thus, we have 4 atoms in face centered and 2 atoms in body centered cubic cell.
