What may be the effect of normalisation on Set 1 of MechanicaL GATE 2019?

Hello Nithin,

According to the analysis made by various coaching institutes, in both the sets the number of Numerical Answer Type questions was more than previous years which made the exam trickier. Set 2 had more weightage of Numerical Answer Type questions as compare to MCQs , this made set 2 slightly more difficult than set 1.

So, after normalization, the score of set 1 examinee would be less than that of set 2 examinee if both have the same raw marks.
